Research Matters: Exploring Meaning, Identities and Place in Research Methods
Dear Researchers
I am writing to invite you to participate in the Third Annual Meeting of the International Research Methods Summer School (IRMSS) which will take place from 6th through the 8th June, 2014 in Mary Immaculate College, Limerick. This year’s event will consider some of the perennial research methods questions that have been engaging the hearts and minds of researchers in all disciplines and fields for generations. We are looking forward to hosting this gathering of researchers during the celebrations for Limerick—Ireland’s First City of Culture 2014. Researchers of all paradigms, methods and principles are welcome. Keynote speakers and participants in recent years have come from Australia, Germany, Australia, Finland, Hong Kong, US and UK, among other countries. This year we are hoping to give full expression to research as a culturally-mediated experience in the most local of local communities and the most global of global communities. We are interested in disciplines and fields as diverse as teaching and teacher education, science and technology, mind and matter, language and literature, time and space, visual media, fashion and craft, festivals and pageant, music, sport, theatre and dance, among the many other fields for which the city and college are proud.
Best wishes and thanks for considering this invitation.
